As an old git the price is right. Despite my horror at McL's horrible football style (sorry Parti!) I'm still a Bluenose and will go to St Andrews to watch - God knows what.
I won't post too many anti-manager posts during the season but will post pro club if I feel they've got it right.

Yes. I've renewed today - old habits die hard. Once a bluenose always a bluenose.

This season I went to all home games (as a season ticket holder) barring Everton, Tottenham and Bolton.

I went to 5 away games.

Now here's the thing, pound for pound I'm not actually sure if it worked out cheaper for me to get a season ticket or not?

Next season, I will be there, attending every home and away game I can possibly afford.

But it would be interesting to know what the game prices are for next season now we're gonna be in a lower division. Because I might end up SAVING money by paying on a match-by-match basis.

The only purpose I could see for having a season ticket was for loyalty on high-demand away games like Villa, but now I don't have to worry about that and I always know people who can get me tickets if I need them.

So.....us being relegated won't make a difference to my attendance at games, but it might make a difference to whether or not I'm a season ticket holder.

Yes I'll be there. After watching Blues for the last 75 years,(not season ticket) I think I can say. "Been there. Done that. Seen the Good times. Shared the Bad."

I've got Blue blood in my veins, and it runs smooth. So yes I'll renew.

I tried to remain reasonably objective last night, not making my mind up in the heat of the moment. I gave myself two alternatives. If Mcleish stayed, no, if he went, yes. I thought objectively of what I have seen over the past few years with him in charge (and to a certain extent even going back to the latter days of Brucie). I decided that the day-to-day dross that has been served up as football does not deserve my support via comittment to a season ticket any longer. I know the words of the song as well as anyone else, but in the longer term, the few joys (thanks for ever for Wembley) have finally been overshadowed by too many sorrows. I generally do not come out of St. Andy's these days having been pleased at what I have seen.

It is a heart-rending decision for me. I have dreamed for over 50 years of travelling round Europe watching the Blues (I was there in the 1950's and 60's when we were last in Europe, but I could hardly go away at the age of ten) but the prospect of having to drive over 150 miles after work to see 4-5-1 against Doncaster on a wet Tuesday night in February does not do it for me anymore.

If anyone feels they must call me fickle or a fairweather fan, that's your perogative, but this is the only way I can make my feelings known - by voting with my feet. Today's announcement by the board has made up my mind for me. Finally, I would say its not too late. Get McLeish out and I'll be down the ticket office the next day, but as things stand - Mr. McLeish, you've broken me, I've had enough.

Same.

Can't stand McLeish's stubborn negativity, and my criticisms of him have been proven correct w/ this relegation, BUT I wouldn't miss going down the Blues for the world.

Besides, away games in the Championship are much more fun.

If you asked me yesterday definately No, but today maybe but its more to do with traveling as I live 125 miles away. By tomorrow probably yes.
Glad that Alex will be in charge.

In Alex we Trust.

Middlesbrough, Leeds, Forest, Derby, Leicester, Cardiff, West Ham, Millwall......

Sounds perfectly fine to me!

Thats ok BUT what happens when we are all over the shock off going down & the season starts, we start off well & we have the 'local derbys' (Notts F, Derby, Leicester, Coventry all away) & all of us want to go to the games. season ticket holders have fist priority, (I have renewed) so the ones with out s/t will moan. I bet at Xmas must of you will get a s/t.PS...theres also (away) Blackpool, Brighton,Millwall,Leeds,West Ham, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Southampton. Theys will be all ticket sell out for Blues. :lager: :dancer:

Hate McLeish?

Seriously, how pathetic are some fans... you 'hate' him?

Christ almighty!

I'll be there, I support Birmingham City Football Club. Not managers, players or boards... not individuals... but as a Club.. and ill always be there supporting us! As hard as it is at times, theyre my club, and i'll be right behind them for the rest of my life.

Renewed before the Fulham game.

Had doubts to be honest and I would like McLeish to go but I decided that I wasn't going to let one man ruin my love/enjoyment of being a bluenose.

I support Birmingham City.

Nope.

Working away, young kids, income down... Struggled to get to 12 games last season so no way I can get to 23 plus cup games plus Europe.

Also my bro is in the same boat and I'm not sure I fancy it on my tod.

We're going to keep our powder dry until Xmas and then maybe get a half year. In the meantime, we'll both be down as often as we can.

I will be renewing my season ticket!
its a shame that some fans wont be in attendance next season but each to there own!
I am a AM fan but relegation has hurt me and im starting to feel a change is maybe in the best intrest of both the club and himself but it wont stop me from watching blues home and away!
im only 21 by the new season i will be 22 so i havent had to deal with that many years of pain like many have!

the only thing i will say is that at least now a lot of the fickle fans will stay away!
i really hate playing teams like arsenal, man utd, chelsea, liverpool because then the one game a season fans come out!

I support birmingham city who ever we are playing and i will respect and have posititivity to who ever is in a blues shirt and who ever the manager is no matter of their ability or who they are!

Keep right on into the championship 2011!

i do feel sorry though for those that have blues at heart and obviously have had to endure a lot of heartache and money over the years to watch rubbish and im sure their will come a time in the future where i may consider my attendance but im young, only have my self to pay for and saturdays is away to forget about work!

i know alot of people cant renew for money situations and obviously some may have families they need to care for now but i just hope that if you can afford it and if you are free on a match day then please get your self down the ground, as many times as you can!
